Armenian community jobs in Glendale and Burbank
A practical guide to how hiring works in the largest Armenian community outside Armenia, and how to use HayBiz.us to find work or staff in it.
Where the jobs are
Glendale has the densest Armenian population of any US city, and Burbank, North Hollywood, Pasadena, Tujunga and the San Fernando Valley follow close behind. Most hiring is by small businesses: medical and dental offices, restaurants and bakeries, auto shops, salons, trucking and transport companies, jewelers, and families looking for caregivers, nannies and housekeepers.
Many of these jobs never reach the big national sites. They are passed by word of mouth, posted in community groups, or listed on Armenian boards. HayBiz.us collects them in one free, searchable place in English and Armenian.
Fields that hire most
- Caregivers (Խնամակալներ): In-home and facility caregiving is the single largest field. Many families ask for Armenian or Russian speakers; IHSS and private-pay roles both appear.
- Medical / Healthcare (Բժշկական / Առողջապահություն): Medical offices along Brand Boulevard, Central Avenue and in Burbank hire front desk staff, medical assistants, billers and phlebotomists.
- Dental Office Jobs (Ատամնաբուժական գրասենյակ): Dental assistants and receptionists, often bilingual, for practices in Glendale, North Hollywood and Pasadena.
- Restaurant / Food (Ռեստորան / Սնունդ): Restaurants, bakeries, cafes and catering: cooks, servers, counter staff, bakers. Bakery jobs have their own category.
- Drivers (Վարորդներ): Delivery, medical transport, chauffeur and dispatcher roles. Rideshare drivers also find cars for rent here.
- Trucking (Բեռնափոխադրում): Local and long-haul CDL driving plus dispatch and warehouse work tied to the trucking companies around the Valley.
- Beauty Salon (Գեղեցկության սրահ): Hair stylists, nail technicians, estheticians and lash artists, chair rental and salaried.
- Admin / Office (Վարչական / Գրասենյակ): Receptionists, office assistants, bookkeepers and legal assistants for small firms.
- Auto Repair (Ավտովերանորոգում): Mechanics, body shop technicians, detailers and car wash staff.
- No Experience Jobs (Առանց փորձի աշխատանք): Entry-level roles with on-the-job training, plus jobs open to 16 and 17 year olds.

Languages and pay
Bilingual English and Armenian is the most common requirement; Russian and Spanish are frequent extras, especially in medical offices and restaurants. Many employers write the listing in both languages. Applying in the language the listing was written in is fine.
Pay is usually stated hourly for office, restaurant, salon and caregiving roles, weekly or per mile for driving and trucking, and monthly for live-in care. Listings on HayBiz are asked to state pay up front; those that do get more applicants.
How to apply
Open a listing and press Apply. Attach a resume as PDF or Word if you have one; if not, your name, phone and a short message are enough for most small employers. The employer gets your application by email and usually calls or texts back the same week. You can also call the number on the listing directly; many community employers prefer it.
Save listings you like with the Save button (free account) and sign up on the home page for the Monday email with the week's new jobs.
Cars for rideshare drivers
Driving for Uber and Lyft is a common first job in the community, and car owners list vehicles for weekly rent in the UBER category, often already carrying TCP and LAX permits. Agree the terms, deposit and insurance in writing with the owner before taking a car.
Avoiding scams
A real employer never asks you to pay for training, equipment or a background check, never asks for your bank login or a photo of your ID before an interview, and never moves the conversation to a payment app. Treat any of those as a stop sign. The Trust and Security page lists more red flags and how to report a listing.
For employers
Posting is free and takes about five minutes, no account needed. A clear title with the city, stated pay and the languages you need are what bring applicants. Every post is reviewed by a person before going live, usually the same day. Step-by-step posting guide · Post a job.
